Time really flies and we are already 5 years into our journey in spreading the innovative business concept of the world’s first hybrid digital asset that is planned with a growth-oriented risk management strategy in place.
Ever since it was founded on 11 June 2018 in Singapore by Mr. Yorath Yohannes Tjandra and Mrs. Yuli Yolanda, Nagaya Technologies Pte Ltd has gained over 62,000 holders globally. Active marketing was being executed only the following year in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and South Korea.
Despite being at the early ICO stage, our potential in being the future digital currency had already been acknowledged by our official partners in South Korea. In the first quarter of 2020, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed to endorse our collaboration with the next upcoming major retail outlet-cum-entertainment hub that is going to be launched in Sejong City, South Korea. Planned to be a smart shopping mall that boosts of integration of immersive consumer experience, it will also be one of the few shopping malls that accepts digital currencies and NGY will be one of them.
Not only that, but we also welcomed another partner - Korea Micro-Enterprise Association, a non-profit organization a year later, for rolling out the pilot run of Nagaya Pay to its members, acting as our first milestone in promoting the utility of NAGAYA (NGY).
2022 had been nothing but remarkable for us; it was also unaccustomed for an international digital asset to bag 3 prestigious awards in South Korea consecutively:
Jang Young-sil International Science and Culture Award in the category of Nickel Industry (IT Digital Asset)
Grand Prize for Social Development that Shines Korea in the category of Global Resource Industrial Development
Korea Small and Medium Enterprises Innovation Awards in the category of IT innovation
In early 2023, we were delighted to include two of our latest partners – Dhanayodha (an accomplished Indonesia-based hospitality enterprise) and Beacon Hospital Sdn Bhd (an esteemed medical institute from Malaysia) in the expansion of the use cases of NGY.
Reflecting on our achievements and efforts for the past 5 years, we are proud to say our progress is steady, and of course, we will continue to unlock new breakthroughs and reach more milestones.
